Dr Charandeep Singh Sahni did his MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai. He got distinction in biochemistry and pharmacology during MBBS course. He completed MD (Pathology) from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. 
 
EXPERIENCE
 
The Tata Memorial Hospital is the national comprehensive cancer centre for the prevention, treatment, education and research in cancer and is recognized as one of the leading cancer centers in this part of the world.
 
It is one of the largest cancer hospitals in South East Asia. The institute receives around 40,000 histopathology samples a year, which includes small biopsies (GIT, Lung, soft tissues, bone, lymph node and bone marrow biopsies) and large resected specimens. Approximately 35–40 cryosections are performed daily. The department is well equipped with immunohistochemistry facility. Outside referral includes 8000 samples a year in the form of slides, blocks, biopsies and specimens. Cytology workload includes 10,000 FNAC samples a year. 
 
Dr Charandeep Singh Sahni also worked as Senior Resident in Department of Histopathology at PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Presented a poster on “Aorto-Left Atrial Fistula” in APCON 2003 at Bhubaneswar.
Presented a paper on “A Clinico-Pathological Analysis of Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Study of 173 cases” in APCON 2005 at Pune.
Presented a paper on “Distribution, clinicopathological characteristics and immunophenotyping of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma: A study of 313 cases using WHO classification (2000) in APCON 2006 at Bangalore

He has special interest in histopathology and cytology. He has special interest in oncopathology. He started his practice on 1st January, 2008 by starting the lab under the name of HELIX PATHLABS at Indus Super Speciality Hospital, Phase 1, Mohali. He is also consultant pathology at Ivy Hospital, Mohali and Mukat Hospital, Chandigarh.
